Here are some suggestions for things I found to be particularly enjoyable.
Stilton Blue Cheese - there is none better. But beware - there are different types of stilton. There's what is called 'white stilton' - which is usually mixed with berries. That is not what I am referring to. I am referring to what would technically be considered 'yellow' stilton, although the term 'yellow' is usually left out, and it's just called Stilton. It will tend to have a darker shade than other blue cheeses - bordering on yellow-ish, hence the term.
Old Quebec Cheddar - an aged cheddar from Canada. Probably the best cheddar I've found around here.
Cabot's 'Seriously Sharp' cheddar - an aged cheddar from Vermont. Probably the best cheddar for the money. It give's Old Quebec a run, but it's a little cheaper.
Blacktone Zinfandel. (not White Zinfandel. The Zinfandel grape makes a red wine. White Zinfandel is a blush wine from the same grape, but with White Zinfandel the skin from the grape is removed before pressing, whereas in a normal Zinfandel, the skins soak with the juice during the Maceration process - thus giving it it's red color)
Clos Du Bois Zinfandel (I'm a big fan of Zinfandel)
Bogle Petite Syrah
Barefoot anything - Zinfandel, Merlot, Cabernet, whatever. Barefoot is a good, Cheap wine. It cannot compare to the wines listed above (in my opionion, at least), but for the price, it's a pretty good wine. $12 for a 1.75L (double bottle), whereas the wines listed above are about twice the price.
Carlo Rossi Burgundy and Chablis - great wines to cook with. Dirt cheap. About $10 for a 4L bottle.
Chaddsford Sunset Blush - a nice alternative to White Zinfandel. It has some peachy tones to it. Enjoyable on a sunny afternoon outside.
Chaddsford Sagria. - a fantastic, effort free way to enjoy sangria. Just open the bottle, and pour over ice.
Don Julio 1942 Tequila. If you can find it, get it. Until you try it, you'll never know what Tequila can truly be like. (you can order it at El Vez)
Monari Federzoni Balsamic Vinegar. There is a significant difference between various Balsamic Vinegars. Depending on the brand, and the age, the flavors can range anywhere from very sweet, to very tart. I like this one in particular because it leans to the tart side of the flavor spectrum. But I recommend you try various brands and choose the one that you enjoy the most.
